Scholarship Programs
Welcome to Michigan Tech Youth Programs. Each year we receive grant and scholarship funding to provide highly competitive scholarship programs for talented young males and females currently in grades 9 – 11.
Additional scholarship programs may be announced during the year as grants are received. Watch our website for other program announcements.
Women in Engineering
The Women in Engineering Scholarship Program (WIE) allows high school freshman, sophomore, and junior women, who are academically talented in mathematics and/or science, the opportunity to investigate careers in engineering and science. Students participate in engineering sessions, group projects and special topic presentations. In addition, students have opportunities throughout the week to interact with female role models and other talented peers. (See
WIE/ESP Program Information for more details.)
Scholarship valued at over $1,000 and covers tuition, room and board, and supplies.
Students are responsible for their own travel expenses and spending money they would like for the week. WIE scholarship funding is provided by corporations, organizations and Michigan Technological University.
Registration Fee: $175

Explore several different areas of engineering through labs and hand-on activities.
Learn from role models working in engineering fields.
Discover team skills and apply new engineering knowledge during group projects.
Learn about college life and extracurricular activities.
Meet a diverse group of other talented teens with similar backgrounds and interests, from all over the country and the world.
