Discounts & Scholarships
Discounts
We continue to remain one of the most affordable programs in the nation and pride ourselves in trying to make our programs available to as many participants as possible each year.
The following discounts are currently available for this summer:
Michigan Tech Alumni / Staff Discount: $50
Children and grandchildren of Michigan Tech alumni and staff are eligible for one $50 discount per child each summer for a live-in or commuter exploration (not applicable for scholarship programs). Applied after confirmation is received from Human Resources or the Michigan Tech Alumni Association.
Multiple Week Discount: $50
Students attending our programs for multiple weeks will receive a $50 discount for each additional week after the first week. Discount must be noted on a student’s original payment form.
SYP Merit Discount: TBD
Students who provide transcripts with their GPA and class rank are eligible for SYP Merit Discounts. Discounts are determined by funds received through individual, corporate and foundation supporters and number of eligible applicants per summer.
Discounts cannot be used in combination with each other – only one discount can be applied per exploration.
Scholarships
We work in conjunction with as many organizations as possible to provide scholarships to students each summer. If you know of scholarships in your local area that you would like us to promote please contact our office.
The Youth Programs office has many tools to help students to solicit their own scholarships from local organizations. Please contact our office you would like us to provide you with any materials.
We will be announcing scholarships throughout the year as we receive them. Please check our
Applications & Forms section for scholarship applications. Scholarships are often merit and/or need-based.
Michigan Tech Scholarships
Students in the class of 2011 that enroll at Michigan Tech will be eligible to apply for undergraduate scholarships exclusively available to Youth Programs participants. Visit
