Program Costs - SYP
A non-refundable $75 deposit per exploration is due within 10 days of receiving an application to process enrollment. All balances are due in full by June 1st. Costs per exploration* are:
- Live-in: $750
- Commuter: $450

Program Costs - Courses for College Credit
A
non-refundable $75 deposit is due within 10
days of receiving an application to process
enrollment. All balances are due in full by
June 1st. Courses for College Credit are
three-week live-in programs and include the
following:
- Room and Board (3 weeks)
- Faculty instruction
- Learning Center access / tutoring
- Classroom supplies (books not
included)
- Weekend Stayovers
The cost per
course is $2700 ($900 per week). Upon
completion students will receive 3
University Credits.
Students are
responsible for the cost of their books for
the course. Information on books will be
sent to students as soon as possible.

Program Costs – WIE / ESP
Scholarships valued at over $1,000 and covers tuition, room and board, and supplies.
Students are responsible for their own travel expenses and spending money they would like for the week. WIE and ESP scholarship funding is provided by corporations, organizations and Michigan Technological University.
Registration Fee: $175
Registration fee is due within 10 days of being accepted into the program to complete enrollment.

Additional Costs
Weekend Stayover Fee: $75 per weekend
Includes all meals, lodging and supervised excursions.

Early Arrival / Late Departure Fee: $75 per day
Participants needing to arrive before Sunday or leave after noon on Saturday can do so only with prior approval. There is a $75 per day fee, which covers room and board, supervision and activities.
We cannot accommodate late departures on July 31st.
Youth Programs Charter Bus: $250 round-trip / $150 one-way
We offer chaperoned charter bus transportation throughout the state of Michigan.

Enrollment Process
Summer Youth Programs
Enrollment is processed after the receipt of an application and $75 deposit (per exploration). Participants then receive a personalized
Confirmation Packet which includes all
necessary forms, transportation and travel
details, and some specifics about campus.
More detailed information about each
exploration and campus life will be sent out
approximately one month prior to a
participant's arrival to Michigan Tech. Most
of this information can also be found on our
website.
Canceling enrollment
$75 deposits are non-refundable.
Before June 1st: Remaining balance refunded
After June 1st: No refund provided
Waiting list
If a primary choice for an exploration is full, students may choose to be put on our waiting list. If a student has been placed on a waiting list, they may choose another open exploration and/or remain on the waiting list.
Students who remain on the waiting list who do not get into their exploration will be refunded their entire payment.
Cancelled explorations
If the exploration a student chooses is cancelled by the Youth Programs office (an unlikely event), we will assist you in selecting another exploration or refund your entire payment.
Scholarship Programs
Applicants will be notified in mid-April if they are accepted into the program. Nonrefundable registration fees are due within 10 days of being accepted into the program to complete enrollment and guarantee a spot.
